Lynx FBO Facility APC
Napa, CAAs part of the market growth of the Napa Valley and Northern California wine region, Lynx is looking to improve its existing FBO at Napa Municipal Airport. The project, currently in concept design, will take cues from the “farmhouse modern” theme that is evident throughout the region and provide facility users with an appropriate gateway to the area. The FBO will include a large volume lobby with an exposed wood structure, a wine bar, and direct views onto the airfield. Entry and exit to the FBO will be through a similarly themed landside porte cochere and airside canopy. The adjacent hangar will take on a similar agrarian look with clerestory windows, stone wainscot and an office and shop area “lean-to” to support aircraft operations. The complete campus will include sustainable features including native landscaping with reclaimed water for irrigation, photovoltaic panels for renewable energy, locally sourced and sustainable building materials and energy-efficient lighting and mechanical systems.
- Integration of the Napa “modern farmhouse” design into the scale and operations of a full service FBO facility.
- Optimization of a master plan to allow for ongoing operations on the same leasehold during construction.
