Atlantic Aviation HOU

Houston, TX

As the front-door to William P. Hobby Airport, Atlantic Aviation HOU is an eye-catching solution that provides a perfect balance between the design-driven requirements of its location and the challenging operational needs of the facility.  As one of the busiest bases in the Atlantic Aviation organization, the facility had to be completely renovated without an impact to its operations.  A carefully orchestrated master plan allowed for a unique phasing solution that met these demanding requirements.

The butterfly-roof FBO provides the gateway to a completely renovated facility that is flanked by two new hangars, a renovated 1970’s hangar and room for additional growth.  The U-shaped orientation of the campus also provides for an expanded ramp area and direct access to a new fuel farm.  To maintain the integrity of the projects highly visible location, the progressively designed elements of the FBO are used throughout the balance of the facility to tie the entire facility, old and new, into a cohesive modern operation..
