Pomona Valley Transfer Station

Pomona, CA

Drive up to the Pomona Valley Transfer Station and you might be surprised to discover its use. The stylish, two-story entrance would look at home in an upscale office park, while the muted blue-gray and green accents reflect the mountains that you see in the background. However, inside you’ll find a transfer station with a below-grade load-out tunnel attached to the two-story operations office. Adjacent to the building is a multi-bay vehicle maintenance building and a compressed natural gas (CNG) fueling station.

The transfer station utilizes concrete tilt-up exterior walls with pre-engineered metal building framing that provides a clear-span interior. Translucent wall panels and skylights provide ample natural light throughout the transfer station.

JRMA worked with the owner and the City of Pomona to create a fully enclosed facility with odor control and ventilation systems that ensure the facility is a pleasant, as well as an attractive, neighbor.
