Athens American Organics

JRMA partnered with Athens Services, CP Manufacturing and Engineered Composting Systems to design a state-of-the-art composting facility in Victorville, CA. The operations include an office area, scale facilities, a 21,600 SF tipping and receiving area, a pre-processing system, and a composting operation utilizing aerated static piles.

Athens Services provides food waste collection and composting for municipalities and food waste service establishments throughout the Los Angeles, Riverside and San Bernardino counties. American Organics is capable of creating compost blends suitable for industrial, agricultural, municipal, residential, or commercial use.

JRMA provided architectural and structural design services for the project and coordinated the mechanical, electrical, plumbing and landscape designs for Athens. It was important for Athens to remain operational during the construction to continue providing service to the community, so JRMA phased the construction to allow for continued operation without interruption.
