JRMA Awarded Comprehensive Solid Waste Management Plan Project in Crook County

Brea, CA (January 23, 2023) JRMA (J. R. Miller & Associates), a leading architectural, engineering, and planning firm specializing in the design of solid waste and recycling transfer stations, materials recovery facilities (MRFs), and anaerobic digestion/biogas plants (AD), is excited to announce they have been awarded the Comprehensive Solid Waste Management Plan (SWMP) Update project in Crook County, Oregon. The project, which encompasses an extensive review and update of the county's existing solid waste and recycling systems, is crucial for ensuring sustainable waste management practices aligned with current regulations and future needs.

JRMA will assist the County with a multifaceted SWMP covering various elements including a detailed description and analysis of the current solid waste management system, including the landfill, transfer station, collection, recycling, hazardous wastes, and applicable regulations.  JRMA will also provide an evaluation of alternative solid waste management facilities and services, assist with capital improvement plans (CIPs) by developing a comprehensive list of improvement projects for the next 10 years, provide a rate analysis, and lead public involvement meeting with the community and stakeholders.
