The Van Nuys Fixed Base Operation Facility provided Beechcraft, later acquired by Raytheon, with one of the most architecturally significant aviation facilities in the country. This state-of-the-art facility includes executive offices, traveler lounge areas, service hangars, and a tenant office sublease area. The total of 102,600 s.f. is anchored by a two-story terminal that has become a landmark to business travelers.
Located on the site of an existing Beechcraft FBO facility, this project required careful coordination with phased construction needs and permitting with the City of Los Angeles Department of Airports. In addition, the building structure has “customized” structural and architectural features that showcase JRMA’s ability to bring out the best in pre-engineered metal construction.
