Martin Aviation Hangar and Museum
John Wayne Airport
Santa Ana, CA

Martin Aviation

Currently under design, this project will expand and upgrade Martin Aviation’s existing facility at John Wayne Airport.  This existing facility will be refurbished to allow for the interior and exterior to tie into the new 32,000 s.f. hangar expansion.  The new expansion will serve a dual purpose as an operating hangar and as a museum.  Numerous historic World War II aircraft will be housed within the hangar to allow the public and groups to view the aircraft from various levels within the space.  Large panes of glass at the entry side and airfield side will bring abundant sunlight into the hangar area and allow viewing of the aircraft from those departing and arriving on John Wayne’s main runway.
