This new project expands and upgrades Martin Aviation’s existing facility at John Wayne Airport. The existing facility will be refurbished to allow for the interior and exterior to tie into the new 32,000 s.f. hangar expansion. The new expansion serves a dual purpose as an operating hangar and as a museum. Numerous historic World War II aircraft are housed within the hangar to allow the public and groups to view the aircraft from various levels within the space. Large panes of glass at the entry side and airfield side bring abundant sunlight into the hangar area and allow viewing of the aircraft from those departing and arriving on John Wayne’s main runway.
