Food Processing Facility Expansion Projects

Meat Plant Facility: Remodel/conversion of existing retort cooker (batch) operation to vertical hydrosterilizer (continuous) process line. Hydos (approx. 100’ tall) required roof upgrades and new foundations. Upgrade of existing structure to accommodate a new Pouch Processing Building.

Pouch PlantPouch Plant: Prepared a site study to determine the feasibility of adding 20,000 s.f. for the introduction of new pouch style retail product. Expansion required coordination and integration with existing adjacent operations and structures. JRMA provided engineering and permitting for equipment-related design issues including extensive conveyance systems and mezzanine (see above).

Direct Ship Warehouse: New 50,000 s.f. tilt-up warehouse addition to existing plant. Site required vacating existing street and utility relocation. Design included planning of interior product racking and covered dock area for (10) truck bays.

Kal Kan Center for Pet Nutrition National Office: JRMA prepared a feasibility study for expansion of the existing National Office into the existing Lab and Pilot Plant area. Remodel of high profile interior open plan administrative staff areas (approx. 20,000 s.f.). Exterior façade and entry redesigned with new glazing, ramps and planters.
